Biography: Martin Vishnick - guitarist – composer – teacher

Concert tours have taken him all over Europe as well as appearances at most of the major London and UK venues.

Martin is currently ‘Head of Composition’ at the Junior Music School of the London College of Music&Media, ‘Composer in Residence’ at St. Albans School, Herts.

Commissions include music for the theatre, concert hall, film&media.

Other projects include cross-curricular theatre pieces, innovative combined Arts Workshops, GCSE&A level workshops. He also teaches guitar, composition and improvisation in the UK and Spain.

Sam and Martin continue to promote their albums – Viva, Classic Guitars by Starlight, Flamenco and Live on Level Five with radio and concert appearences all over the world.

Program Notes: This piece is part of my Guitar Treatise, this work in progress aims to develop skills that incorporate extended guitar techniques in an electro-acoustic environment.

Core compositions will develop new opportunities in reaching high standards in this relatively unexplored area of music. The treatise will also address issues of pedagogical methodology, improvisation, graphic scores, the creative process and historical perspectives.
